The main front part of the building right at the corner of Bedford and Main was the residence of W.H. Fredenburgh, one of the early merchants and lumbermen. It was built around 1876 and has been extended multiple times since then. It was first used as a hotel in the 1930s and was owned by Alex and Lena Brown who called it the Lexana Hotel. This title stamp can be seen on the hearth in front of the fireplace in the Dining Room. The original bar and wooden beer cooler with “Tweedsmuir” inscription still exist today!
Lean back in a chair or settle in on one of the couches in the lobby or lounge. Ask us about enjoying a fireside dining experience.
Host your closest people on the shore of the pond followed by casual cocktails and apps before the real celebration indoors or up on our flowing shade sail patio tucked in by the hotel.
Have an afternoon bite and beer on the waterfront patio. Catch a golden mountain sunset with the finest in live music, over a bottle of wine and a hearty dinner.
