If you’re looking for some music to spice up your time in Westport, The Cove is the place for you to set yourself down. We bring in the best we can find and keep a healthy mix on rotation. From Blues to Jazz, Rock to Folk, Country to Bluegrass, Soul to Funk, we love it all. In the warmer months, larger performances and full band shows take place on our Lounge stage while solos, duos and small groups play to the patio crowds. When it gets cooler, all shows happen in the Lounge.

Always best to call ahead for reservations so you have a seat too! 1.888.COVE.INN

Ducks Roadhouse used to be called Greenslades with Donnie and Marlene Greenslade as owners, and was originally a cheese factory before that. After that the Sceviour family had a good, long run as Pier 42.

Then Three’s Company with Terry Bryan, Glen Doyle and Sammy McGregor bought the property, renovated it and it was a popular bar and dining room for many years. They also started the tradition of supporting seasonal sports, particularly local hockey and baseball teams where hundreds would flock after tournaments and games across the road.

Then Mary and Terry and the Cowan family changed the kitchen to the back wall, opened it all up with a huge, long bar, it became one room called Ducks Roadhouse and bands like Ambush, Printer’s Alley, Bullmoose, Smitty, See Spot Run, Mystic Caravan, Karaoke, Off Track Horse Betting and more frequented the place and provided entertainment with the pool tables and CD juke box.

After about 8 years, George and Cathy Thomas, bar owners from Pennsylvania, bought it and ran it until he passed away. Terry Cowan was heard to say, ” It was very emotional to see our once thriving place that we owned reduced to rubble, as I’m sure Terry Bryan felt as well, but , “All things must pass”,  as another George {Harrison} once sang/said.” The “Duck” was a common place for all types with many a great party and celebration over the years. Singer/Guitarist Jay “Smitty” Smith would play to wild and crazy crowds on Thursday nights after the “Jazz Night Migrations” would occur weekly in the summertime.

Since local Westport IDA Pharmacist Tracy Phillips bought the property recently, she made the decision to demolish the dilapidated building to the ground. In memory of all the great times and the bar that just wouldn’t quit, let’s have one last night to Duck’s Roadhouse! Let’s all have a REUNION!!!
