If you’re looking for some music to spice up your time in Westport, The Cove is the place for you to set yourself down. We bring in the best we can find and keep a healthy mix on rotation. From Blues to Jazz, Rock to Folk, Country to Bluegrass, Soul to Funk, we love it all. In the warmer months, larger performances and full band shows take place on our Lounge stage while solos, duos and small groups play to the patio crowds. When it gets cooler, all shows happen in the Lounge.

Featuring spot-on costumes and vintage instruments for each era, A Day in the Life takes audiences on a trip through the entire career of The Beatles. JASON KENT / GEORGE
Jason has played in bands since he was fourteen and has toured extensively throughout Canada, the US, Mexico, and Europe. Like many working musicians, he’s played in slew of bands (including his own band Sunfields, as well as Kandle & The Krooks, Spoon River, Felix Dyotte, Soft Canyon, Urockaoke, The Dears, The Sonny Best Band, and countless others).
His first solo record was released in 2006. He has written songs for TV, film and documentaries. He has a catalogue of over three hundred and fifty recorded songs, has published a children’s novel, and has a BFA in Art History from Concordia University. He also runs a Yoga studio in Montreal with his wife Jennifer, where he currently lives with his wife and two sons.
PETER GRANT / JOHN
Peter Grant has been touring and recording with many bands since the early nineties, performing well over 4000 shows in 40 plus countries. He has opened for acclaimed acts such as Blue Rodeo, Stevie Nicks, Santana, and Big Sugar.
He first started playing Beatles music internationally as John Lennon in 2000, and has since performed with the Beatlemaniacs, Day Tripper and Beatlemania Revisited.
Peter’s own music has been played on Canadian Radio, as well as American T.V.
Performing fulltime on the Montreal Music scene, most recently he performed with Eclipse: Pink Floyd Story, and Oh Canada, a tribute to Canadian Artists at the Princess of Wales theatre in Toronto.
GEORGE DONOSO III / RINGO
With over 1000 shows under his belt, George Donoso III is a seasoned musician. He started playing the guitar and drums at the age of 14. After playing in many bands, he joined the Sam Roberts band in 1997 and played drums on the Platinum selling record “We Were Born In A Flame”. In 1999, he joined The Dears and had the opportunity to perform on numerous tv shows such as the Late Show with David Letterman, Last Call with Carson Daly & Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The Dears got really busy touring the world after the release of “No Cities Left” in 2003. They received much critical acclaim and even a Juno nomination for best new band. They got to perform at such festivals as Glastonbury and Coachella and nailed opening slots for The Tragically Hip, Sloan, Morrissey, The Dandy Warhols, Matthew Good Band, Jane’s Addiction and many others.
Since his departure from the Dears in 2008, George has moved on to other projects such as Lisa Leblanc, Yann Perreau, Alex Nevsky, Land Of Talk and Melissa Auf der Maur.
IAN B. GARCIA / PAUL
Born in the exotic coastal town of Viña del Mar, Chile. Garcia grew up in Toronto and Vancouver. He currently resides in Toronto, Canada. Self-taught in voice, …guitar, piano and bass he has evolved over the years into a versatile and mature multi – instrumentalist. Singer/ songwriter, “Incandescent Bliss Machine” 1994-1999 managed by Michael White (The Tea Party) and opening for major acts such as The Age of Electric and Blue Rodeo.
Performing in various tribute bands to save up money Garcia would be spotted from a promo video. “I never imagined making a living as a Beatle!” he proudly states… “I mean, like a lot of musicians I cut my teeth on Beatles…This truly is a great honor and blessing for me, to get the call and to be performing as Paul McCartney with RAIN: A Tribute to The Beatles”
A proud Canadian, there is no place like home and this past March 2014 saw Ian debuting at Toronto’s Royal Alexandra Theatre with the Broadway show.
