ENTERTAINMENT & SPECIAL EVENTS
If you’re looking for some music to spice up your time in Westport, The Cove is the place for you to set yourself down. We bring in the best we can find and keep a healthy mix on rotation. From Blues to Jazz, Rock to Folk, Country to Bluegrass, Soul to Funk, we love it all. In the warmer months, larger performances and full band shows take place on our Lounge stage while solos, duos and small groups play to the patio crowds. When it gets cooler, all shows happen in the Lounge.

THE STEADIES (Reggae/Rock, Ex-Wide Mouth Mason, Saskatoon)
April 4, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm$55
The Steadies take the explosively popular Top 40 sound and mix it with rocksteady and reggae influences, creating what they’ve dubbed, “Island Rock.” No matter your mood, The Steadies pick you up and carry you to the beach in your mind, the club in your dreams, the place you go to clear your head and dance. The Steadies ARE the party.
Their latest release, Starcity Shakedown , is an ode to the band’s rocksteady roots and continues to build on the band’s signature style. It marks their first release since their EP which garnered a top-50 hit in Canada and was nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award.
Ever the road warriors, The Steadies play upwards of 100 shows each year, making them one of the busiest bands in Saskatchewan. They have headlined numerous festivals, showcased at industry events and have shared the stage with Ziggy Marley, The Roots, Blue Rodeo, The Wailers and more. The band suffered a major emotional blow when they lost their inspired guitarist Justin ‘Juice’ Lee on Vocals + Guitar. Since then, they have been through a few lineups and currently have Kurtis Shultz on drums andLane Argue on guitar!
The Steadies’ frontman is Earl Pereira who got his rock n’ roll pedigree as a founding member and bass player of the popular Canadian band Wide Mouth Mason, who had two gold records, three JUNO nominations, and a host of other accolades and awards. Pereira has toured the world, playing over 3000 shows and opening for iconic artists like the Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Nelly Furtado. He was named one of Canada’s top bass players by Canadian Music Magazine and has been featured on MTV, Muchmusic, and the Ryan Seacrest Show, as well as in publications like Rolling Stone Magazine and The National Post. Pereira co-produced and co-wrote Wide Mouth Mason’s entire award-winning catalogue. He has worked with a roster of legendary producers including David Leonard who produced Paul McCartney + Prince, Joel Van Dyke who produced Aerosmith + Bryan Adams and Todd Burke who produced Red Hot Chili Peppers, No Doubt + Johnny Cash. In 2010, with demand for his side project on the rise, Pereira left Wide Mouth Mason behind to play in The Steadies full-time.
